Ortho Evra Patch (Norelgestromin/Ethinyl Estradiol) is a birth control pill produced from combination of estrogen & progestin. It functions by preventing the eggs from being released and causing pregnancy.

This birth control pill is not for pregnant women or those who suspect they’re pregnant. It is also not suitable for female who has just gave birth recently.
People who experienced blood clots and has heart problems are advised against using this pill as it might risk their health condition.
People who are over 35 years old and smoking shouldn’t take this medication.

How To Use Ortho Evra Patch?
Common usage is by applying a patch to the skin and wears it for one week before replacing it. Observe and follow the instruction and dosage prescribed by your doctor closely.
Only open the sealed patch and remove the protective liner when you are ready to use it.
Never place it on your breast. Only apply it on skin area that is clean and not oily so that it will stay there tightly.
Just continue your daily activities and take bath, swim and shower as usual because it will not affect the patch at all.
Remove it slowly and fold it so that it will stick together before you throw it away. Make sure it’s out of reach from children and animals.

It is not advisable to eat grape fruit and drink based on grapes while using Ortho Evra Patch.
There are occasions where the user experience dizziness while they’re applying Ortho Evra Patch to their skin.

Known side effects include breast tenderness and enlargement, breakthrough bleeding and vomiting.
It is advisable to use condoms and spermicides to enhance the function of this birth control pill.
