Ortho Tri-Cyclen (ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate) is a combination of female hormones that has the ability to prevent ovulation from occurring. It also changes the uterine lining and cervical mucus making it difficult for fertilized egg from attaching itself to uterus wall.
