Seasonale (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) is a birth control pill based on the combination of two female hormones that can prevent ovulation. It will prevent fertilized egg from developing further as it can not attach itself to the uterus wall.
Do Not Use Seasonale If…
This birth control pill is not suitable for female above 35 years old.
Female who are pregnant or suspect that they are pregnant shouldn’t use this medication.
How To Use Seasonale
You will not experience monthly menstrual when using this birth control pill because it will delay the process and let you have menstrual cycle every 12 weeks. This 91-day pack contains 84 active pills and seven reminder pills. Tray 1 and 2 contain 28 pills in it while the 3rd tray contain 35 pills including the reminder pills. You will notice your body start to experience the symptoms of having periods when you’re on the 3rd tray.
You risk yourself to experience pregnancy if you accidentally skipped your pills.
Only take one pill a day and they should be taken less than 24 hour apart.
There are rare occasions where you might experience overdosage. The symptoms could be nausea, vomiting, and vaginal bleeding. Make sure you seek medical attention right away if that happens.
Check with your doctor if you have to take other medications while you’re using Seasonale because it might interact and pose a threat to your health.
There are a few known side effects that might happen if it is not compatible with your body system, such as severe migraine headache and general ill feeling.
Seasonale will not help to protect you from HIV, Aids and STDs, so make sure you use condoms and spermicides when needed.
Make sure these drugs are safe and kept away from children and animals. Only use it according to your prescribed dosage to ensure its effectiveness.
